Christies Sailing Club welcomes any and all yachts to join our fleet. With active racing and cruising fleets made up of a wide variety of boats, we welcome new boats to come along and join in.
There are multiple Trailer Sailers, both mono and multihull, regularly sailed. Our racing fleet is made up of one design racers in Flying Fifteens, VX Ones, and Spider 22s as well as cruiser/racers for example Clubman 8, Ross 780s, Corsair Trimarans and a number of other designs.
Races are run as part of the regular club series and Club Championship on Saturday afternoons during the season, and the handicap system allows any boat to race on equal footing. With multiple race formats including round the cans, fixed mark racing and long distance racing, we pride ourselves on offering something for everyone and every level. Sailing does not have to be about racing, and you are welcome to come and sail just for pleasure. During summer on pleasant evenings some of our members take to the water for fun in the early evening, and enjoy the beautiful sunsets.
